Slojourn Studio Redefines Travel Sales Representation Role with Appointment of 'Conscious Curator'

In this newly created role, Chaldee is responsible for working closely with Australian travel agents and advisors across a complement of personalised services including captivating digital and face-to-face sales meetings, and immersive training sessions on Slojourn’s portfolio of conscious travel clients.

Where her role deviates from that of the traditional sales representative, however, is in the integration of Chaldee’s recent experience as a meditation coach and energy healer. 

Slojourn Studio founder and co-owner, Tess Willcox, said the company wanted to take a different approach to selling travel – one that better aligns with the down-to-earth, slow living ethos of its clients.

“Chaldee is a former luxury travel advisor who sought a different path during COVID and found her passion in alternative health. As Slojourn’s Conscious Curator, she will be combining her travel industry knowledge with her training and experience in the realm of meditation and holistic health,” she said.

“There will be no ‘death by PowerPoint’ sessions from us. Instead, Chaldee will be immersing our network of travel agents in the conscious, well-being philosophy that our clients embody. She will start her agent updates with mindfulness sessions, yoga classes, and intentional experiences that channel our resorts' laidback approach to luxury; followed by updates and footage on what is happening with our clients.”

“Think morning yoga and juices with the backdrop of our latest Soneva footage and resort updates; or energy healing sessions to the dulcet tones of Àni Private Resorts videos, where she'll take agents on a journey of the treatments their clients will receive; or a safari-style breakfast whilst learning the latest updates from Resplendent Ceylon,” Tess explained.

Through a suite of targeted services that include marketing, branding, trade representation, PR, and communications, Slojourn Studio works exclusively with conscious travel brands that prioritise the slow travel movement. The company’s collective features world-leaders like Soneva, Resplendent Ceylon, Àni Private Resorts and Selong Selo, and the team believe Chaldee’s role will further enhance their efforts to convince travel agents and travellers alike of the superiority of this mode of travel.
