Skywise Airline has scored a first in South Africa, by becoming the only airline to officially recognize Human Rights Day.
The country's newest low-cost carrier is currently offering an affordable and no-hidden cost fare of R499 for passengers flying this Saturday, between Johannesburg and Cape Town.
Skywise is making history by identifying with human rights; an issue that symbolizes true democracy in a constitutionally bound South Africa.
“We have activated the Human Rights day special to celebrate human rights this Saturday. We are selling out the entire flight (both ways) on the R499 special as a tribute to Human Rights day”, says Skywise Co-Chairpersons, Tabassum A. Qadir (Ms.) and J. Malik (Mr.).
“We are the first ever airline to contribute towards the issue of human rights in South Africa. For us people come first, regardless of their low or high status and we promise to do more for all South Africans”.
Skywise CEO, Johan Borstlap, adds: “As the executive of Skywise, we believe in this big event in South African aviation history. What we are doing has not been done before”.
Human Rights Day falls on Saturday, 21 March 2015.
It is a human right for all South African communities to access low-cost travel, hence, Skywise extends their low fares on this day for all South Africans to enjoy their journeys on current Jbg – CT route.
Skywise recognise the importance of community support, as indicated by our low-cost fares.
Community support projects include flying the Matric class of 2014 from Khamane High School, adopted by Thembekile Mandela Foundation, as part of our maiden flight on 11th February 2015. This is a significant date, as it was on this day 25 years ago, that former President, Nelson Mandela, was released from prison after 27 years.
