For travellers dreaming of jetting off to somewhere new next year but worried about the cost, the travel experts at Skyscanner have been crunching their extensive flight and hotel database to uncover the Best Value Destinations for 2019¹. Ranging from stunning beach destinations such as Cancun and Los Angeles to the winter wonderland that is Reykjavik - this year's Value Destinations have something for everyone.

Benefiting from low cost carrier Eurowings flying from Heathrow to Cancun, this far flung destination with its pearly beaches, brilliant sands and year-round sunshine is certainly more affordable than some might think. And Cancun will soon be even more accessible from the UK with Thomas Cook Airlines expanding their service to Cancun with 9 weekly flights from Manchester. There are also hundreds of accommodation opportunities to choose from, from fabulous 5-star hotels to more affordable boutique hotels.

It's always summer in Las Vegas and this destination has so much to offer, from its bright lights, giant casinos, stylish cocktail bars and endless shopping. But the excitement doesn't end there. Vegas really is great value for money, with one of the leading low-cost carriers Norwegian flying from the UK, plus there are plenty of 4 star hotels in Vegas to be had starting from as little as £30 per person per night.

Home to some of the USA's most fantastic beaches, Los Angeles is a dream destination for many and it's not as pricey as some might think. Norwegian provides an affordable route from Gatwick to LA from as little as £296 return and thanks to Virgin Atlantic, LA is set to become even more accessible in 2019 as the airline recently announced a new route from Manchester to LA from May next year. Hotels are also more affordable than some may think: in early 2019, London based hotel chain the Hoxton will be opening a new hotel, which will boast a spa, restaurant and lounge. In the meantime, there are many 3 and 4 star hotels ranging from £39 - £96 per night.

Reykjavík is certainly more than just snow and ice, the cosmopolitan city is loaded with captivating art, rich culinary choices, and cool cafes and bars. Whilst Rio's average flight prices have remained static, Rio is set to become cheaper in 2019 with Norwegian having announced a new route from London Gatwick to Rio starting in the Spring next year. Rio boasts the largest drop in average hotel prices out of all of Skyscanner's Value Destinations for 2019 (dropping 20%), and there are some amazing four star hotels prices starting from as little as £39 per night.
