SPY KIDS AT THE ROYAL GUNPOWDER MILLS
May Half Term
For a fun-filled week of activities and adventure, The Royal Gunpowder Mills is not-to-be-missed this May Half Term. Presenting their hugely popular Spy Kids, there's a superb schedule of exciting events planned at their Secret Island.
Open daily from Saturday 23rd May till Sunday 31st May, would-be Spies and Secret Agents will be able to put their detective skills to the test with a range of covert operations and special secret missions.
From code breaking to all forms of espionage, the Spy Kids events will put all budding agents through their paces as the Lab Rats lead them through a series of tests to transform them into a real Secret Island Spy!
Professor Nitrate will be in his Mad Lab doing some seriously hush hush work and Spy Kids can help keep it secret. Special activities include the night vision bomb disposal challenge, test speed and agility on the assault course, complete super sleuth training in the Mad Lab and on the test range and test your detective skills in a top secret mission.
The Spy Kids training camp will be open at the test range where spies-in-training will be launching, catapulting, shooting and firing a variety of air and rail rockets, cannons and airsoft rifles in their very own test range trials.
In addition, spies will get to visit the Rocket Vault to see the rockets worked on when the Royal Gunpowder Mills was a top-secret government research facility.
Set in 170 acres of natural parkland, the Royal Gunpowder Mills mixes fascinating secret history, exciting science and beautiful surroundings to produce a different day out for all the family.
Visitors can trace the history of explosives in a stunning audio-visual show, uncover the truth behind the infamous Gunpowder Plot, come face to face with some real space rockets and get to grips with more than 200 firearms ranging from rocket launchers to machine guns in the fascinating Armoury.
