Australian travel company, Mecca Travel Co (www.meccatravelco.com), specialises in skiing and travelling in Utah - which they believe is the skiing "mecca" of the world.

Running at the same time as the world-famous Sundance Film Festival, Mecca Travel Co's first solo tour package is suited to the intermediate/advanced skier or boarder who loves to fly by the seat of their snow-soaked pants.

Tour One starts in Utah on the 20th January 2013 for 12 nights, with nine days skiing included, ending in Utah on 1st February 2013.

Priced from $2850 per person twin share excluding air fares accommodation is seven nights at The Park City Peaks Hotel, Park City ideally located providing easy access to all three Park City resorts and five nights at the Cliff Lodge, ski in/ ski out to Snowbird Resort.

The tour accommodates a maximum of 20 people and these range from people aged between 25 and 55.  Guests tend to fall into two groups - late 30's and people in their late 40's.

As the Tour is hosted by Mecca Travel Co's husband and wife Briony, 34, and Scott, 38, singles feel immediately comfortable and quickly make new friends.

Briony and Scott have a great passion for skiing and eight years of experience skiing Utah's resorts.  They have a vast knowledge of Utah and have tailored the tour so it accommodates people of different abilities.

There is a great mix of males and females from all over Australia and many continue to catch up and ski together after they have been on the tour.

Briony comments "Based on a number of enquiries coming from individuals looking for a ski holiday we decided to put together a tour that was targeted at solo skiers, people wanting some company on the slopes.

This isn't to say the tour is only for individuals, we get a couple/ few friends who come together. This year we had a husband and wife (the husband didn't ski)."
