The Museum of Contemporary Art Australia (MCA) and its official Champagne sponsor Ruinart are bringing a unique sensory experience to Sydney this winter to inspire art lovers and get their creative juices flowing: Ruinart Sundown Sketch Deluxe.
This indulgent 2-hour sketching workshop is inspired by the MCA's popular night-time program, Sundown Sketch Club.
Led by Sydney artist Will French, the workshop series will take place on Wednesday evenings once a month in the MCA's creative studios, boasting picturesque twilight views of Sydney Harbour.
Using a diverse range of fine art materials, participants will be invited to explore their creative potential and experiment with still life and nude drawing, guided by personalised tips from Will French.
They will respond to an ever-changing installation combining a model, fragrant fresh grapes, white flowers, juicy pears, brioche, hazelnuts and almonds – as a nod to the complex and delicate aromas of the Ruinart Champagne 'R de Ruinart'.
For a truly decadent experience, each participant will enjoy a glass of 'R de Ruinart', with nibbles and gourmet cheeses – a toast to Ruinart's long-standing relationship with the arts.
Wednesdays 14 June, 19 July and 23 August, 6-8pm
