Welsh pet training weekend targets lonely owners who are looking for love
Men are being encouraged to take the lead in petting weekends to find true love.
Celebrity pet trainer Debbie Connolly has launched singles weekends in Wales where pining owners can socialise while their pets get some doggy discipline.
Its sad that for many male owners, their dog really is mans best friend, says Connolly, star of the TV show Dog Borstal and founder of www.SafePets.co.uk - the UKs leading animal training website. This weekend will give men a chance to meet like-minded women while treating their wayward pets.
Connolly says that she has a number of women signed up for the residential weekend course, which will feature games and get-togethers while dorming with your dog. She says that she now needs men to join in who might have been barking up the wrong tree in their search for a life partner.
A dog makes a wonderful companion, says Connolly, who herself has four dogs and eight cats. But nothing can beat the love of a good woman. They say owners look like their dogs so it will be interesting to see if they all match up if love blossoms, but hopefully the human courting rituals will be more discreet.
