Sweden, 12 April 2016: Simply Sweden (01427 700115; www.simplysweden.co.uk) has put a twist on a trip to the Icehotel this winter, combining a stay at the famous frozen lodge with an overnight snowmobile excursion to brand new lakeside wilderness cabins.
Guests booking Simply Sweden's exclusive package Icehotel – Wilderness Camps will spend two nights at the Icehotel or Icehotel 365 and then venture to the remote Sami village of Nikkaluokta, at the foot of Sweden's highest mountain, Mount Kebnekaise. There they will be greeted by father-and-son team Andreas and Nils Sarri and embark on a memorable tour of snow-covered forests and the Arctic tundra, spending the night in one of four strikingly modern wilderness cabins on the frozen shores of Lake Láddjujávri.
The Scandinavian specialist tour operator has already opened bookings for trips to the Icehotel and the new Icehotel 365, a structure that will stand year-round on the shores of the River Torne in Swedish Lapland.
Icehotel 365, situated next to the seasonal Icehotel in Jukkasjärvi, will open on 1 November. The building will feature 22 rooms and suites, an ice bar, sculpture gallery and studio, and an event space. Deluxe Rooms and ARTsuites will be available to stay in year-round.
Run on solar power, harnessed from the Midnight Sun, Icehotel 365 will combine sustainable energy with state-of-the-art architecture. The whole structure will be covered by a green turf roof, planted with Arctic flowers and varieties of grass, which rests on metal sheets to protect the building's insulation and keep in the cold air. The arched inner ceiling will have built-in chilling tubes, maintaining a temperature of -5C, and the inner walls will be covered in snow. Just like the classic winter-only structure, Icehotel 365 will be decorated with sculptures made from ice, and will offer guests the option of cold and warm rooms.
Icehotel – Wilderness Camps costs from £1,240 per person, based on two sharing. The price includes return flights from the UK to Kiruna, transfers, snowmobile tour, one night in a cold room and one night in a warm room at Icehotel, and one night in a wilderness cabin, breakfast daily, dinner at the wilderness camp, and warm outer clothing.
A three-night break at Icehotel 365 costs £925 per person, based on two sharing, including return flights, transfers, breakfast daily, one night in a cold room and two nights in a warm room, warm outer clothing and a tour of the structure. The same break at the Icehotel costs £895 per person.

Notes to editors:
Simply Sweden began selling holidays in 2006 and has become one of the UK's leading tailor-made tour operators to Scandinavia; in 2016, it added the Faroe Islands, in the Kingdom of Denmark, to its range of destinations. The company, founded by Chris and Karin Graham, draws on the inside knowledge of its small Sweden-based team, gained from travelling extensively across the territories, to create itineraries that offer customers the best experiences and deliver a genuine insight into the Scandinavian way of life.
