Shreveport-Bossier launches Mardi Gras-themed promotion to attract new conventions

Meeting planners can receive a carnival reception complete with an authentic Mardi Gras float and other incentives when they book conventions by March 31, 2017

SHREVEPORT-BOSSIER, LA – The Shreveport-Bossier Convention and Tourist Bureau and its partners the Shreveport Convention Center and Hilton Hotel Shreveport launched a new “Let the Good Times and Meetings Roll” promotion to incentivize meeting and event planners to host new conventions in Shreveport-Bossier, Louisiana.

For a limited time, meeting planners that book a meeting at the Shreveport Convention Center and room nights at the Hilton Hotel Shreveport can enjoy a free Mardi Gras-themed reception with a Krewe of Centaur Mardi Gras float. The promotion also comes with lagniappe or “something extra” including five times Hilton HHonors Meeting Planner Points and a five percent discount on the master bill at each facility.

Meeting planners with a qualifying convention and who complete an online request for proposal will be entered for a chance to win an Apple Watch. Contracts must be signed by March 31, 2017 in order to be eligible for the offer. Events can actualize anytime through March 31, 2020.

Shreveport-Bossier is conveniently located in the northwest corner of Louisiana and is an ideal destination for meetings and conventions with excellent venues, affordable accommodations, riverfront shopping, Southern food and after-meeting group experiences.

The Hilton Hotel Shreveport offers event catering and banquet facilities that can accommodate up to 100 people.
