Multimedia-enhanced listings, TripAdvisor and Google Maps integration are among features of new website

 

SHREVEPORT, LA – The Shreveport-Bossier Convention and Tourist Bureau, the official destination marketing organization of Caddo and Bossier parishes, recently unveiled a completely redesigned website at Shreveport-Bossier.org. The new site, which went live in January, includes new features such as: multimedia-enhanced listings, TripAdvisor and Google Maps integration, a responsive design for mobile and tablet users, advanced meeting facility search, a built-in trip planner, responsive geo-triggers for nearby listings and events, integrated social feeds from Instagram and Facebook, and more.

“We proudly invite visitors and locals alike to spend some time exploring our new website,” said Stacy Brown, president of the Shreveport-Bossier Convention and Tourist Bureau. “The new site is a great-looking, user-friendly way for today's travelers to find out about the most interesting things to see, taste and experience in Shreveport-Bossier.”

The new Shreveport-Bossier.org also features more editorial content than ever before, including frequently updated articles, videos, photo galleries and more. The content of Shreveport-Bossier.org will change regularly to reflect upcoming events and share the latest relevant information for travelers, meeting planners, journalists and other site users.

The websites of destination marketing organizations such as the Shreveport-Bossier Convention and Tourist Bureau are one of the most trusted sources of information among travelers. More than 475,000 unique users visited Shreveport-Bossier.org in 2015 – a 17% growth in traffic to the website over 2014. Visitors to the website downloaded more than 30,000 digital brochures in 2015.
