(Macao, March 28, 2013) - Arriving on beautifully crafted Venetian gondolas, Hong Kong celebrities Kary Ng, Pakho Chow and Christine Kuo kicked off the launch ceremony for Shoppes Chocolate Fun 2013 Thursday, at Shoppes Grand Canal's St. Mark's Square at The Venetian® Macao. Sands China Ltd. senior management and chocolatier GODIVA joined the three celebrities in smashing large chocolate eggs to inaugurate Shoppes Chocolate Fun 2013.

 

During the launch event, Wong Yim Yin, GODIVA's Regional Connoisseur Master for Pacific Rim & China, joined Ng, Chow and Kuo to decorate a chocolate egg. The artistic talents of the three celebrity guests were brought out under the guidance of Chef Wong, resulting in a beautifully decorated chocolate egg.

Chef Wong has amazed and impressed the region's audiences throughout the years with his sophisticated chocolate-making skills. From March 29 to April 1 at 3 pm and 5 pm daily, he will perform chocolate demonstrations for shoppers and visitors at St. Mark's Square at Shoppes Grand Canal. Guests will not want to miss their chance to taste GODIVA's world-renowned chocolate and to be a part of the demonstration.

 

Online Competition

Fans of the official Shoppes Facebook page can post their photos featuring any of the Chocolate Fun decorations to www.facebook.com/ShoppesInMacau. Fans whose photos receive the most 'likes' might be lucky enough to win a box of sumptuous GODIVA chocolates.

 

Shoppes Grand Canal

A five-metre high chocolate-like Bunny Cage is the centre of attention at St. Mark's Square, Shoppes Grand Canal this Easter. Visitors can marvel at this seasonal decoration featuring four bunnies and numerous chocolate balls, probably the largest bunny cage ever built in Macao. Godiva Bunnies will also be around to add delight to the photos.

 

Shoppes at Four Seasons

The Magic Wardrobe artwork at Shoppes at Four Seasons showcases a glamorous evening dress in chocolate brown sprinkled with golden decorations, giving shoppers ideas for their next addition to the spring wardrobe. And the Girls' Best Friend artwork on display features an over two-metre-high jewellery box, showcasing a giant chocolate-like necklace complemented with two adorable Godiva Spring Bunnies positioned on either side.

 

Shoppes Cotai Central

Chocolates and merry-go-rounds recall one's childhood memories. On the ground level at Shoppes Cotai Central, these two elements are combined into one big artwork display standing at 3.5 metres high, and children under three years old are welcome to sit on the Godiva Spring Bunnies to pose for their best Easter shots. Visitors may also find themselves standing inside a 3.5-metre-high by 2.5-metre-wide giant handbag, with a chocolate brown high heel decorated in pink sitting elegantly next to them.
