The best Virginia�s Shenandoah Valley has to offer will be featured at the �Savor the Valley� festival on the grounds at Shenandoah Caverns & American Celebration on Parade Saturday, September 25, 2004 from 11:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. Admission to the festival is free. More than 30 vendors will provide delicious Valley food, homemade ice cream, kettle korn, and festival fare as well as crafts, plants, woodworking, artwork and children�s entertainment. A section of Shenandoah Valley heritage will feature apple butter making, spinning, wine making, and living history. �Festival-goers can take a hay ride, buy pumpkins and local apples, and even ride our old fashioned Circus Bandwagon across Virginia�s longest covered bridge to Maize Quest, where they will experience an �deep-sea adventure�-themed corn maze,� said Joe Proctor, general manager of Shenandoah Caverns and American Celebration on Parade. Shenandoah Caverns and American Celebration on Parade are located at Exit 269 of I-81, five miles north of New Market, Va. Shenandoah Caverns is the only Virginia cavern with elevator service. American Celebration on Parade is a 40,000 sq. ft. exhibition of spectacular floats from the Rose Parade, Presidential Inaugurals, Thanksgiving parades, and other national celebrations. The festival is sponsored by The Northern Virginia Daily, the Shenandoah Valley Wine Growers Association, and Country KCY and 98 Rock Radio stations.
