Sheepskin - the award winning collection of stylish and unique holiday properties is delighted to announce the launch of its first property in Dorset. Myrtle Cottage near Bridport joins Sheepskin's distinct portfolio of holiday homes.
Myrtle Cottage is a unique blend of old meets new, with cob walls and a thatched roof; this 18th century cottage has all the mod cons you need for everyday living and to make a relaxing and comfortable holiday.
Myrtle Cottage is spacious and comfortable for up to five people so ideal for family holidays - with a peaceful and secure garden, a double, twin and a single bedroom, plentiful games and books. Groups will love the characterful cottage with the open plan kitchen dining room great for cooking and enjoying hearty meals to enjoy together and the cosy lounge with inglenook fireplace is perfect for sociable evenings in.
The quintessential English country garden with pretty views across the village church is an ideal spot for alfresco dining or a game of croquet (courtesy of Big Game Hunters www.biggamehunters.co.uk). Guests also have access to a private Perry Orchard where you can go fishing or enjoy a picnic.
Set in an unforgettable location in the village of Netherbury, home of Hugh Fearnley Whittingstall's original 'River Cottage' and within a few miles of Westport, Beaminster (2 miles) and Bridport (4 miles) this Dorset hideaway is just 3 hours of London, approx. 135 miles.
Further afield guests can enjoy days out at the nearby Dorset beaches, famous gardens including Mapperton and Forde Abbey, a boat excursion in Lyme Regis or trip or sample one of the many great restaurants.
Helen Shaw, director of Sheepskin, comments: "We are thrilled to launch our first property in Dorset. Myrtle Cottage is a truly special place where our guests can enjoy their precious time away. The house has such character, a place where you feel immediately at home and the location gives you the best of both worlds being in the countryside yet so close to the coast. There is so much to explore and something for everyone.
We are delighted to offer guests more unique holiday options as well as a broader choice of locations to experience. Our collection is, and will remain, deliberately small but in response to demand we are always searching for more distinctive homes. We maintain strict selection criteria for our collection and only include unique homes that we would, and have, enjoyed staying in.”
Note to Editor:
Four weeks before guests are due to arrive we will send a tailor made guide with all they want to know about Myrtle Cottage and how to get there. If there is anything specific they would like to see or do during their stay, we will research this for them.
