Gilt Lounge is unveiling their winter warmers cocktail menu to take the edge off the rain. Located on the second level of Gowings Bar & Grill at QT Sydney, Gilt Lounge's vibrant, sultry interior and bespoke furniture mirrors the diversity of the bar's new hand-crafted cocktail menu.
Sydney's finest bartenders call upon a cellar of liquors to fashion cocktails from the newly designed list of classic, signature and vintage tipples. Shaken in Perlinii shakers, poured from antique soda siphons, and served in vintage crystal glassware, the new menu showcases a twist on some classics along with some more daring concoctions.
'Smoked Applewood Bacon Old Fashioned' combines applewood bacon infused buffalo trace bourbon, black peppercorn instilled Demerara sugar, Creole Bitter and chocolate covered bacon offering an audacious proposition, whilst 'Barrel Aged Jack Sparrow' mixes Diplomatico Reserva Rum, Pedro Ximenez Sherry, Xocolatl Mole Bitters, Demerara Sugar, and Burned Orange and Rum Inflused Cherry.
"With the new menu we wanted to stay true to the classic cocktail era using bespoke vintage glassware and making our own sodas, tonic and mixers, while handcrafting cocktails to fit the brand using quirky and unique ingredients," said QT Sydney's Bar Manager, Jared Thibault
Gilt Lounge's mixologists blend a number of their own mixers to invigorate the Gilt offering, creating a unique taste sensation. Creating its own house spiced ginger beer, falernum, tonic, Grenadine, and pineapple and mango soda, Gilt Lounge ensures a fanciful accompaniment to its unique liquor on offer - the House Made Tonic with Gin uses the exclsuive Death Door Gin not available to buy in Australia.
Wines at Gilt Lounge have been carefully curated by industry stalwart Ian Cook, who continues to hand select a small batch, limited release wine list of fine Australian and international wines.
Open until 12pm Tuesday and Wednesday, and until 2am Thursday to Saturday, Gilt Lounge brings decadence minus pretention to Sydney's thriving late night cocktail scene.
