September, So Much Fun & a Pass To Match

Perisher

September is just around the corner and that means cold clear nights and plenty of beautiful crystal clear blue sky sun shining days in the Snowy Mountains. Its not just a mouthful it also means time to enjoy Perisher Blues magnificent snow covered terrain.

Perisher Blue today announces its September Season Pass- valid from September 1st through to October 12th.

Skiing and boarding in September is so pleasurable, theres less crowds, great sunny weather, cheaper accommodation rates and ample snow for a great holiday with family or friends.

The prediction is for good late falls, so those that purchase a September Season Pass could be greeted with some excellent snow.

The September Season Pass is great value for money:

Adults only $525 and Children to Year 12 only $275 That works out to be an incredible $12.50 per day for adults & an amazing $6.55 for Kids

This year has seen a mix of great powder days and fine, calm and very cold nights allowing Perisher Blue at one stage to record 223 hours of continuous snowmaking, so the base is well and truly set.

This base, well over a metre deep, combined with typical cold September nights should keep conditions ideal for skiing and boarding right up to the end of the season.

Perisher Blues snow cover is retained longer than any other resort due to its altitude. All runs and lifts are well above the recognised natural snowline, making it more likely that the resort will receive Spring snowfalls.

The fleet of over 20 snow grooming machines at Perisher Blue, keep the cover in the best possible shape by adopting snow-farming techniques. This is where snow fences capture snow and the groomers collect it, push it around to where its needed and smooth it down for corduroy groomed perfection.
