Families can beat exchange-rate blues by booking fully inclusive trip now
Brighton, 9 October 2019: Families can protect themselves against currency uncertainty and possible rising holiday costs next summer by putting down a deposit now for a fully inclusive activity break with Family Adventure Holidays (01273 803030; www.familyadventureholidays.com).
A leading provider of family activity trips to France, Family Adventure Holidays has held its 2019 prices for summer 2020 bookings of both its popular week-long breaks in Normandy, Château de la Baudonnière and La Grand' Ferme. Both can be booked now for a deposit of just £50 per person.
The holidays are fully inclusive so parents don't have to put their hands in their pockets once they arrive, meaning there is no need to worry about expensive currency fluctuations on departure. There's a packed programme of varied, age-specific activities over six days and accommodation is no-frills but offered on a full-board basis, including gourmet-standard meals, snacks, soft drinks and wine, beer and cider available to adults with dinner and into the evening.
Normandy La Grand' Ferme and Château de la Baudonnière offer a similar programme, led by Family Adventure Holidays' own qualified animateurs. Sessions can include cycling trips, canoeing, aeroball, archery, T-shirt-making, baking, and there's an on-site mini-farm at the Chateau. Family bonding opportunities include an expert-led walk across Mont St Michel bay and a quicksands experience, “It's a Knockout” tournament, disco, quiz and karaoke sessions. Other activities are also included.
Daily French sessions for kids are available for £55 extra in total per child at the Chateau, while La Grand' Ferme has a heated outdoor pool to enjoy.
Both holidays are available for the weeks beginning 25 July; 1, 8 and 15 August 2020 (plus 22 August at La Grand' Ferme), and cost from £490 (adults), £435 (6-15 years), £170 (2-5 years), under-twos go free. Prices are based on four sharing a family bunk room. There is a variety of accommodation at both properties and upgrades are available at a supplement. These are self-drive trips and international travel is not included. Return ferry from Dover to Calais costs around £150 for a car and four passengers.

Notes to editors:
Family Adventure Holidays offers adventure and activity holidays at great-value prices in locations in the French Med and in Normandy and the Ardèche. There are no hidden extras, and some are offered on a fully inclusive basis. All breaks include a flexible programme of activities designed for specific age groups combined with activities for the whole family. The holidays exclude international travel.
The company was founded in 2012 by Nigel English under the umbrella of Voyager School Travel (Class Tours Ltd), a leading operator in the school travel sector.
As parents of children across the age range, Nigel and his wife Lisa, who has since joined the business, have a true understanding of what makes a fantastic holiday for all the family. This is complemented by years of experience providing educational, activity and adventure holidays to schools, led by staff who are recruited for their engaging, encouraging and fun demeanour, to fit with the company ethos and high standards of safety. The intimate size of the venues ensures that the staff get to know all the families.
The incredibly low price of the holidays reflects the no-frills accommodation, with limited double beds available in certain centres. But no compromises are made on cleanliness, the excellent quality of food, prepared by French chefs, and the unrivalled activity packages led by talented animateurs and qualified sports coaches.
The holidays, based at four centres, include:
- Château de la Baudonnière in Normandy: a fully inclusive activity week, with accommodation for up to 25 families in a historic building on a 100-acre rural estate, just north of Avranches;
- La Grand' Ferme in Normandy: a fully inclusive family adventure, set in a country estate with outdoor heated pool in the village of La Fougeray, featuring lodgings in a traditional farmhouse and two gîtes, which can host a maximum of 12 families;
- Mediterranean Beach Club in Argelès-sur-Mer: a watersports tuition holiday, offered on a self-catering basis in three-bedroom mobile homes at the four-star Camping Taxo Les Pins campsite, with total capacity for up to nine families;
- The Ardèche: a programme of white-water adventure holidays, including a two-day overnight bivouac descent of the Ardèche Gorge, offered on a self-catering basis in mobile homes at a three-star campsite, with total capacity for up to nine families.
