Sydney-based Sailcorp Yacht Charters have released school holiday family packages, inviting kids and parents from all around Australia to be a tourist for the day on Sydney's stunning harbour.

Sailcorp offers a two and a half hour sail departing Lavender Bay which takes in the highlights of Sydney Harbour including Harbour Bridge, Opera House, Fort Denison, Garden Island, Taronga Zoo and the city skyline. The tour operates every day through the NSW school holidays (excluding public holidays).

“The prospect of school holidays can be daunting for parents. Finding exciting and different things to do with the kids everyday can be difficult for parents. “The kids love having a go at being captain for the day, steering the boat, helping to put up the main sail, tightening the ropes and putting in a winch.  It's an experience that's full of fun and entertainment, as well as introducing them to the world of sailing, and a welcome break from the usual holiday activities,” said Mr Vickers.

Sailcorp's prices in the school holidays start at $75 per child and $150 per adult and family packages are also available.
