Adventure travel specialists Another World Adventures is taking bookings for the adventure your adrenaline has been waiting for you to do.
Take a yellow school bus, remodel it into a unique overland vehicle and bring together a small group of adventure travelers to explore the wilderness of Alaska, Canada, and Western America.
Add to this amazing views and encounters with an abundance of wildlife, glaciers and volcanoes! Enjoy the ride and take pictures out of the big windows, play cards or games on the tables and join in the group adventure by helping to prepare dinner around the campfire.
Alaska, often called “The Last Frontier” has been the crown jewel for adventure travelers in North America.
There are many misconceptions of unbearable and impassable weather conditions. This couldn’t be further from the truth. During the summers in Alaska, you’ve got 18-20 hours of sunlight and average daytime temperatures between 58-77 F (14-25 C).
The Salmon Run adventure is focused on the highlights of Alaska with optional activities of halibut/salmon fishing, sea kayaking, ice climbing, glacier walks, rafting, horseback riding and scenic flights.
The overland vehicle, known as Atka, is converted from a US school bus and unique in North America. She provides ample space for everyone to stretch out along with providing at least 8 passengers tables for card playing or writing in their journals. The multitudes of windows are big and open easily to allow you to take pictures at any time from the best angles. The vehicle becomes a large part of the experience and even is considered by most as their "home".
View glaciers and icebergs near or from afar, trail blaze through the wilds and maybe even come face-to-face with a grizzly!
