New York: Scenic Cruises, the cruising division of Scenic Tours, has been named the 'Best Luxury Cruise Line' by the prestigious New York Travel Writers Society (NYTWS) at its first annual Business Awards.

Further cementing Scenic Tours' international reputation as a leading luxury cruising and touring company, this award comes just weeks after being recognised as 'Best Luxury Tour Operator' in Luxury Travel magazine's 2013 Gold List.

The NYTWS is a renowned international association of travel media professionals and their inaugural Travel Industry Awards have been created to recognise travel excellence internationally in 17 categories including cruising operators, hotels, tour operators, airlines and travel media. The award will be formally presented at a gala in New York City on 14 December.

Scenic Tours General Manager, Sales and Marketing, Michelle Black says winning a third prestigious award in as many months is "phenomenal recognition" for the company's commitment to delivering the ultimate in all-inclusive luxury cruising experiences on the waterways of Europe. "This accolade is testament to our global reputation and it is wonderful to be acknowledged internationally.

This award also follows the company's recent announcement of the commission of a ninth Scenic 'Space-Ship' being built to meet the demand of an unprecedented response to their 2014 Europe river cruising program, which launched in April.
