Scenic Airlines Grand Canyon Tour reservations experiencing rising demand

Scenic Airlines

Industry speculation regarding the expected rise in tourism sales for summer 2003 due to pent up demand is proving to be accurate for Scenic Airlines. Scenics Reservations Department is currently experiencing comparable monthly call volumes as those enjoyed during the same period in the busy summer season of 2000. To help service the surge in reservation requests, Scenic is in the process of adding approximately 30% more reservations staff.

Scenic Airlines world famous Pilot Training School has also initiated additional pilot training classes to help service the growing demand. Four additional crews consisting of a Captain and a First Officer will bring Scenics total Twin Otter crew force up to 21 crews by peak season. It takes nearly two months for a pilot to complete Scenics rigorous training program as Scenic Airlines is the only Grand Canyon air tour operator that operates under the same higher Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) guidelines as the worlds major airlines.

Scenic Airlines, currently the worlds largest and leading Air Tour Operator, has serviced over 10 million customers on tours to the Grand Canyon, Bryce Canyon, Monument Valley and Yosemite National Park in the past 36 years. The company remains positioned to service approximately 60% of the Grand Canyon Air Tour market demand as it continues to grow during the peak summer travel months of July, August and September.
