The Society of American Travel Writers (SATW) introduced its 2013-2014 Board of Directors to more than 360 members during its annual convention which took place Oct. 20-25 at the Beau Rivage Resort & Casino in the Mississippi Gulf Coast.
Immediate Past President Lillian Africano passed the “pen” to esteemed colleague and freelance travel writer Steve Giordano, a 26-year veteran of the industry who has been an active member of SATW since 1997.
“The in-coming Board is composed of both seasoned travel industry veterans and newer members eager to make their impact on the industry,” noted Giordano. “I'm looking forward to encouraging the conservation and preservation of travel resources worldwide as well as to our vision-sharing as we move forward with the Society.”
