The UK's leading healthy holiday company, Satvada Retreats, is launching new-format Wellbeing Weekends, with the first break running this September in the heart of Marrakech.

The three-night weekends are designed to recharge body and mind and soothe the senses, with six long al fresco yoga and meditation sessions, a restoring massage, top-notch vegetarian food and a workshop on stress.

As with the September holiday, venues for the Wellbeing Weekends have been hand-picked for their exceptional design, tranquillity and quiet 'wow factor'.

Suitable for complete beginners, the mini-breaks are designed to help guests find more balance and less stress in everyday life, through a combination of ancient yoga and mindfulness techniques, a setting conducive to rest and rejuvenation, and practical lifestyle suggestions.

Accommodation for the late September weekend is in a traditional five-bedroomed riad, located in the heart of the Marrakech Medina, built around a central courtyard and with a large roof terrace, where the classes will take place.

In between sessions, the rooftop terrace is the perfect place for sunbathing, reading, relaxing, enjoying an 'al fresco' meal or cooling off in the plunge pool. Delicious fresh meals will be prepared and served by the riad's talented in-house cooks.

The riad is just a short walk from the main square that bursts into life at dusk every evening and there is also a hammam nearby (Moroccan spa) where various treatments can booked (the Wellbeing Weekend includes a massage).

The three-night weekend costs from £449 pp (two sharing) which includes three-nights' accommodation, daily brunch, afternoon tea and three-course evening meal, a massage and two daily 90-minute yoga and mindfulness classes.  It is usually possible to book extra nights. Flights and transfers (which take 15 minutes from Marrakech airport) are not included.
