Santa’s Lapland this week launches their 'In Safe Hands' campaign offering peace of mind to customers that their money is safe and there are extra safeguards in place—allowing the long-awaited, magical family holiday to become a reality again.
As Boris Johnson sets out a plan for ‘significant normality' by Christmas and travel restrictions lift, families looking to make up for missed summer holidays due to the COVID-19 crisis can once again add extra sparkle to their Christmas with a festive break to Lapland. The team at Santa’s Lapland are enabling adults and children to again marvel in the magic of their winter wonderland, by making sure the health and safety of every family who travels with them, and Santa and his Elves is a top priority.
From letting customers know their money's safe to delivering extra safeguards on their holidays, Santa’s Lapland are offering those who've already booked and those starting to talk about booking, the extra piece of mind for staying safe on their holiday.
In a statement from Santa’s Lapland, Paul Carter, CEO said:
“In preparation for a customer’s visit to Santa’s Lapland this Christmas, our team, Santa and the Elves are busy working with our local partners to help everyone remain safe. There’s lots to do, but you can be rest assured that we’ll do our very best to make sure our holidays to Lapland are as magical as expected.”
The Santa’s Lapland’ ‘In Safe Hands’ campaign explains:
“Your money’s safe”
- If things change and Santa’s Lapland have to cancel a holiday because of Covid-19, customers can pick another date, or get a full refund.
- Santa’s Lapland are keeping their deposits low. Holidays can be reserved for just £150pp, when booked before the end of September. Final balances will be due 10 weeks before departure.
- Santa’s Lapland are ABTA and ATOL protected. These schemes are backed by the government, so whatever happens, customer’s money is protected.
- The festive holiday specialists are in a strong position. As part of a much bigger family of businesses, their parent company is a large Swiss supermarket and retailer called Migros, so as a group, they’re stronger together.
- Santa’s Lapland provide a snow guarantee. Seeing Lapland in the snow is all part of the experience, so if the tour operator decides that there’s insufficient snow customers can amend their travel dates* within the same season or get a full refund.
“We’ll be helping to keep your family safe on holiday”
- Santa’s Lapland are working on a list of all the ways to help keep families safe on their trips to meet Santa.
- All Santa's Lapland staff will have COVID-specific hygiene training, along with safety equipment (PPE).
- Santa's Lapland local staff will have temperature checks before every shift. Resort reps will manage everything from a central point, electronically and over the phone where possible to minimise any risk of spreading infection.
For the accommodation Santa's Lapland manages:
- The Santa's Lapland team will be disinfecting all communal areas several times a day, with deep cleans every transfer day.
- Opening hours and numbers of guests in spa areas, hot tubs and swimming pools may be restricted, depending on local regulations. Where they're open, there will be lots of extra cleaning and disinfecting.
All Santa's Lapland partner hotels will be managed locally, compliant with the COVID-19 laws of that country. They will only work with carefully chosen, trusted partners.
“Santa’s Lapland are with you at every step”
- The Santa’s Lapland team are available to give advice while customers are thinking about booking or preparing to go away.
