Sands Resorts Macao Brings in the New Year with Parties and Entertainment for Thousands of Visitors

Live music, countdown, fireworks, light and sound extravaganza and Cotai Arena concert thrills New Year's Eve revellers

(Macao, Jan. 1, 2020) – Sands® Resorts Macao was buzzing last night as thousands of locals and visitors flocked to The Venetian® Macao and The Parisian Macao to welcome in the New Year. The integrated resorts hosted free entry New Year's Eve parties including midnight countdown celebrations, live music from top international bands, DJs, dance performances and firework extravaganzas. There was also a light and sound spectacular show on the façade of The Venetian Macao and star-studded JSTV music New Year concert in the Cotai Arena.

At The Venetian Macao's outdoor lagoon music fans enjoyed Andy Frasco & The U.N. from the USA, plus in-house favourites Blue Note band, along with DJs and dance acts throughout the night. A high-tech festive light and sound spectacular delighted the crowd and at midnight a thrilling countdown and fireworks show ushered in the New Year with festivities continuing into the early hours.

At The Parisian Macao partygoers enjoyed a free outdoor celebration at Le Jardin garden opposite The Parisian Macao Eiffel Tower, which incorporated a special New Year Eve Grand Illumination Show for the occasion. Live music included singing star Supper Moment from Hong Kong, Urban Soul Orchestra from the UK, and dance acts including popular DJ LuLu, which got the crowd jumping before the countdown and a spectacular eight-minute firework show.

Meanwhile, the JSTV Countdown Concert included singers Kun, William Chan, G.E.M., Gem, Timo Feng, Chris Lee, Julius Liu, Nana Ou-Yang, Will Pan, Pu Shu, Sun Yan Zi, Sitar Tan, Lee Hom Wang, Nicholas Tse, Joker Xue, Keyng, Jason Zhang, Angela Zhang and Wakin Chau who thrilled a huge audience at The Venetian Macao's Cotai Arena. At midnight all the singers crowded onstage to celebrate the New Year with everyone in the arena.
