Sandra Shevey, London Street Market Walks, will discuss the threat to London`s traditional street markets in a talk at Goodenough College, London on Wednesday, 20 May at 8pm. The talk will begin at 8pm and will take place at London House, Churchill Room, Goodenough College.

The talk will include a screening of Sandra`s documentary about London`s traditional street markets (`London`s Ancient Markets: Their Struggle for Survival`)

There will be an opportunity for questions. One of the issues which Sandra would like to raise is the redevelopment of the Borough market in Southwark which, at this time, has gone ahead with the demolition (against which the documentary argues) along the High Street putting an end to that antiquate entry via alleys into the market itself.
