The Salt Meats Cheese hospitality portfolio continues to expand with the opening of new restaurant at 21 Fountain St, Alexandria this week. The site marks the first of two new venues to open this month with Bay St, Ultimo to follow shortly.

Open from 11am until 10pm on weekdays, Salt Meats Cheese Fountain St will offer brunch, lunch and dinner and breakfast only on weekends from 7am.

Stefano De Blasi, Co- Director said 'We are excited to open on Fountain St. We have great memories of starting with our first shop on Bourke Rd and have come to know and love the community here'.

The new space is modern with a fresh and light filled dining area. Decorated with cascading greenery and branded product from the flagship store, the site will house a woodfire oven, open space kitchen and juice bar.

Guests are encouraged to dine in but for those on the go, there is also a take away menu.

Coffee lovers seeking their morning caffeine hit and sweet treat will be welcomed by the friendly barista behind the La San Marco coffee machine and a tempting display unit overflowing with muffins, pastries and cakes.

Menu by Simona Ciantelli (formerly Buon Ricordo, Paddington) offers a selection largely similar to the Drummoyne location with the addition of seasonal mains. Diners can choose from plethora of tasty entrees, salads, pasta, pizza and mains. Dishes include risotto with saffron and Italian sausage, Italian style lamb chops with fresh herbs and seasonal salad and tagliolini pasta with prawns, calamari, mussels and grape tomatoes. The little ones have not been forgotten with a kids menu also available.
