Caribtours is delighted to be teaming up with Human Race, the UK’s largest mass participation sport events company to launch “Tri St. Lucia” the first ever international triathlon taking place on the beautiful island of Saint Lucia between 22 - 23 November 2013. Clear waters, rain forested hills and blue skies will ensure this is a very different triathlon for the UK visitor.

As the UK's leading Caribbean specialist, Caribtours have created a bespoke travel, race and hotel accommodation package exclusively for competitors and their travelling companions at some of the finest hotels on the island - as well as those that will suit any budget. Supported by the St. Lucia Tourist Board, “Tri St. Lucia” promises to be a very exciting and well attended event with a sociable coming together of international, local and regional visitors alike.  

All bookings made before 31 August will be entered into a draw to win one of seven places on an exclusive training session in Battersea Park with Olympic legend Daley Thompson who will be attending “Tri St. Lucia” himself and will be on hand to offer encouragement and talk about his fantastic experiences. In addition, all winners will receive complimentary entry to the Diamond Tri at Dorney Lake on 8 September 2013 which Daley Thompson will also be attending. The Diamond Triathlon offers a range of distances from Novice to Olympic and is the perfect pre St Lucia training event. Winners will be notified by 2 September.

An anticipated 500 competitors, from beginners to elite athletes, will travel to this most picture-perfect of islands from all over the world. With a series of activities and parties planned in the week leading up to the main event, including an island boat trip and pre and post-race beach parties, this is destined to be a spectacular end to the triathlon season.

To ensure that there is something for all levels of competitor there will be three different courses, all winding through some of the most stunning scenery in the Caribbean:

The Dagger: 200m Swim, 5km Bike, 2.5km Run
The Pistol: 750m Swim, 10km Bike, 5km Run
The Cutlass: 1500m Swim, 20km Bike, 10km Run

Packages start at £1,363 per competitor (£1,233 per companion) and include return scheduled flights, race entry fee as well as a number of other events; a Beach Swim, Beach Run and an Aquathlon (Swim/Run). Also included in the package price are the pre-race reception party, post event BBQ with a prize giving on the beach and a spectacular ocean boat trip for all competitors. The package price also includes an airport transfer and free bike carriage on the plane.
