Saffire Freycinet has been named the Best Luxe Hotel at the Australian Traveller Readers’ Choice Awards held in Sydney on December 4th 2013, with one reader highlighting it as a “million-dollar view, and a billion-dollar experience.”
The luxurious Tasmanian sanctuary has gone from strength to strength in the last year, with this award adding to a host of recent accolades, including Australasia’s Best Boutique Hotel at the Boutique Hotel awards in London last month. The Australian Hotels Association (AHA) also named Saffire the best resort style accommodation at their National Awards for Excellence earlier this year.
The Saffire experience is made up of meaningful moments that capture the essence of Saffire and its close connection to the Freycinet area. These moments can be as complex as the luxurious pleasures of a day spa experience, or as unique as wading out to enjoy fresh oysters in the waters of a nearby estuary.
Another Australian Traveller reader wrote that Saffire was “an absolute dream come true. We soaked up that view on walks, by the wood fire, even through a degustation dinner, which was probably the best (and most romantic) meal I’ll ever have.”
The Australian Traveller Readers’ Choice Awards are the only consumer awards for tourism in Australia that are voted by the travellers themselves.
Saffire’s General Manager Justin King said, “We are so pleased to be awarded the Best Luxe Hotel at the Readers’ Choice Awards. Here at Saffire we pride ourselves on ensuring we deliver exemplary service, with each stay tailored to each individual so that guests receive the ultimate experience within this special part of Tasmania.”
