The best boutique hotel in the world is now right on Australia's doorstep…
Saffire Freycinet has been named the Best Overall Boutique Hotel in the World at the prestigious World Boutique Hotel Awards held at the Montcalm, Marble Arch in London.
This accolade adds to a host of awards won in the last year by Saffire, including the Best Luxe Hotel at the Australian Traveller Reader's Choice Awards and 2014 grand award winner in the January issue of Andrew Harper's Hideaway Report.
Saffire Freycinet is part of Tasmania's Federal Group and has become an iconic statement of luxury that has taken the state's tourism to a new level. Accepting this award was Federal Group Executive Director Mr John Farrell, who said this was the fulfilment of a dream for the family owned company.
“We wanted to showcase to the world the very best that Tasmania has to offer. We wanted people to fall in love with this very special place, just as my parents and my entire family have. This award demonstrates that we have succeeded beyond our wildest dreams.”
Saffire Freycinet, located in the pristine Freycinet National Park, is one of Australia's most luxurious hotel properties.
States Justin King, Saffire's General Manager, “We are thrilled to receive the accolade of Best Overall Boutique Hotel in the world. Feedback from the anonymous stay of one of the judges on this panel is that Saffire is truly unique and our tailored service, combined with the warmth felt from all staff made him feel like he was 'amongst family', the highest compliment any hotel could wish for!”
