Effective July 1, Rydges Esplanade Resorts has expanded its innovative family style accommodation to a total of six rooms.  This follows the introduction of a prototype in August 2012 that was met with immediate success and a giant thumbs up from parents and their children alike. 

 

Rydges Esplanade's Resident Manager, Shannon Craig said the family rooms are designed to take the pain out of travelling with kids and are destined to hit the high notes in parents and children alike.

The children's 'domain' incorporates funky, custom-designed bunk beds. Up or down, each bed features its own, personal 15"LCD television.  Add to this, each is linked to an X-Box allowing split-screen gaming or DVD viewing.  Additional content can be streamed to the televisions via personal iPads or iPods.  A third, smaller bed come day bed is also included in the children's nook. 

 

"The best addition is arguably the separate head phone function attached to each child's bed head console enabling silent entertainment.  You have to love that!" commented Shannon.
