Royal Westmoreland Wins 'Barbados' Leading Spa Resort' Award at World Travel Awards

Royal Westmoreland

Royal Westmoreland and its Indulgence Spa was awarded Barbados' Leading Spa Resort at the annual World Travel Awards recent ceremony in the Bahamas. The resort, which has the island's only Elemis spa, won the award against competition from Sandy Lane, Coral Reef Club, Cobblers Cove and The Fairmont Royal Pavilion. The World Travel Awards are acknowledged across the globe as the ultimate travel accolade, celebrating those organisations that are pushing the boundaries of industry excellence.

The Indulgence Spa at Royal Westmoreland is situated just a few steps away from the white sands of Mullins Beach and features a large swimming pool with a waterfall for pre and post treatment relaxation and four treatment rooms, plus a gym. Treatments range from quick pick-me-up scrubs using an exotic lime & ginger salt formula, to massages for golfers and more involved Hydrotherm treatments, for which only their therapists are qualified to perform on island.

Royal Westmoreland say: “The award is a great honour and encouragement for the team at our Indulgence Spa, who are very passionate about what they do. The team participates in regular training courses to give our guests the best possible experience and be on top of the latest spa treatments. It's great to see that these efforts are not only being acknowledged by our guests, but also by an industry award as reputable as the World Travel Awards.”

World Travel Awards President Graham Cooke adds: “My congratulations to all our winners all of whom are working tirelessly to drive up standards in the competitive Caribbean and North American hospitality markets.”

The World Travel Awards will conclude with a Grand Final Gala Ceremony on 12thDecember in Morocco.
