Rotterdam has established itself as Clubbing Capital of the Dutch clubbing scene. More and more clubs spring up and Rotterdam continues to surprise everyone with its new festivals, events, increasing numbers of unique stores and trendsetting nightlife.

RECENTLY OPENED CLUBS IN ROTTERDAM Rotterdam recently opened two new clubs. Caf� Rotterdam is turned into a new restaurant, caf� and intimate club called Rotterdam. With tight lines, a magnificent view over the Maas river and a terrific design, Rotterdam is the new place to be. Another club that recently opened it's doors is B.U.M.B. (Bar Underground Music Bunker). This club is located in a former tunnel passage way opposite the Weena tram station, right in the heart of Rotterdam city centre. Each Thursday is Bionic night which has different types of music: disco, electric, pop and urban. On Fridays house music rules the scene. On Saturdays different styles of music are mixed.

3 DUTCH DJ�S AT THE TOP From DJ Mag�s Top 100 DJ�s charts, it shows that Dutch DJ�s are perfoming very well, with 3 DJ�s in the Top 5 of DJmag�s 2005 Top 100 DJ�s. Paul van Dyk from Germany is the new number 1 followed by DJ Ti�sto (NL), Armin van Buuren (NL), Sasha (UK) and Ferry Corsten (NL). Despite losing his number 1 position Ti�sto remains the number 1 DJ of Holland, winning the Release Dance Award for best DJ.

�ROTTERDAM STYLE� Many of Holland�s top DJs emerge from Rotterdam. Well-known Rotterdam based DJ�s like Ferry Corsten, Michel de Hey, Laid Back Luke and Jay Samuel are playing gigs all over the world. Although each of these DJ�s have their own style, there is definitely something that could be called a �Rotterdam Style�. The specific �Rotterdam� sound can be enjoyed in many clubs. There is something for every clubber. Large venues like Now & Wow offer ultra trendy glamour like parties whilst smaller clubs like The Thalia Lounge and Off Corso have a more laidback feel.
