Room for Dessert, QT Melbourne Inspires Romance With a Twist

QT Hotels & Resorts

Bold, innovative and never afraid to do something different, boutique hotel QT Melbourne has designed one of Melbourne's most expensive desserts for couples this Valentine's Day – served with a side of pillow-talk. 'Room for Dessert' is a decadent dessert option; a specially designed sweet treat for two served with a twist – a room key.

QT Melbourne's signature restaurant, Pascale Bar and Grill, sets the scene for spontaneity, adventure and romance, with all diners given the option to order 'Room for Dessert' directly from the menu this February. Once ordered, 'Room for Dessert' automatically checks them in for the night, where guests can extend their experience in the luxury of an eclectic QT Melbourne guest room.

Designed by QT Melbourne's Pastry Chef Youssef Aderdour who has trained under Alain Ducasse, the $300 dessert is an almond-pistachio madeleine biscuit with wild strawberry marmalade delicately presented on a pillow of Valrhona white chocolate, vanilla buttermilk mousse and crowned with a gift from the Swarovski Crystal Wishes Collection. With your dessert comes a room key and behind one of QT Melbourne's ever-enticing doors awaits a luxe king-size bed, plus a bottle of Perrier Jouët. Complete decadence for two.

The extensive menu is complemented by the rich, sensory surrounds of Pascale Bar and Grill. Plush, velvet or leather seating inspires intimate dining moments, further enhanced by the curated wine and cocktail list.

Available from Friday 10th February to Wednesday 15th February 'Room for Dessert' can be enjoyed over the Valentine's week.

For those who simply want to celebrate with a Valentine's Day set menu at Pascale Bar & Grill, the $249 offering includes a five-course feast starting with a Flute of G.H. Mumm Rosé on arrival and Summer Heirloom Vegetable Crudité Accompaniments.

Fresh entrée options include Sydney Rock Oysters, Milking Yard Farm Chicken Terrine with Aioli and Pickled Caper Leaves, or a Tomato Salad with Burrata, Ligurian Olives and Pangrattato.

Following this are mains such as Duck Ballotine with Grilled Mango, Radicchio and Apple Balsamic, John Dory with BBQ Corn and Basil or a crowd favourite, the Zucchini Flowers with Goats Curd, Pine Nuts and Mint.

To finish, a specially designed dessert is included, the Strawberry Lovers Scroll Cake of Almond Biscuits, Vanilla Chantilly, Strawberry Jam, Raspberry, White Chocolate.

With so many options to surprise and delight, QT Melbourne is the only destination for romance this February.
