The Chattanooga areas cornfield maze is growing in view of thousands of visitors to Rock City Gardens this summer. Rock Citys Enchanted Maize Maze is an intricate network of twists and turns carved into 10 acres of corn in the valley below Lovers Leap. Rock Citys unique vantage point high atop Lookout Mountain makes the Enchanted Maze a one-of-a-kind MAiZE experience since visitors to Rock City will see the See 7 States themed design emerge from the cornfield over the summer and this fall can watch friends or family maneuver through the maze from the viewfinders on Lovers Leap. Rock Citys third annual MAiZE is set to open September 10th.
Rock City staff and MAiZE designer Brett Herbst - the worlds leading designer of 300 corn mazes worldwide - hope to challenge the wits of those seeking to find the one exit from their mind-boggling puzzle. Mazes are growing in popularity as a unique source of agricultural fun for adults and children alike. Though the correct pathway can be walked in only 15 minutes, most maze-goers will require about one hour to travel through the more than three miles of twists, turns and decision points. As a tribute to its location, this MAiZE is designed in the shapes of the 7 states legendary at Rock City in the See 7 States view Georgia, Tennessee, Alabama, Kentucky, Virginia, North Carolina and South Carolina. Also on site will be the Coca-Cola Courtyard Playground, a millet maze for children, hay pyramids, tractor-pulled hayrides, farm animals and much more.
The Enchanted Maize Maze will give Chattanooga-area residents and out of town visitors the chance to get lost September 10 through October 30. The location is at the foot of Lookout Mountain, just south of St. Elmo. Cost is $7.00 Adult (over 12) and $5.00 Child (4-12) (under 4 are free).
