Saddle Skedaddle

22-29 September sees Yorkshire host the coveted UCI 2019 Road World Championships – the pinnacle of the international road racing calendar.

The first time Britain has hosted the UCI Road World Championships since 1982, the event in Yorkshire features a range of men's and women's races; each starting in different towns and cities throughout Yorkshire and finishing in Harrogate.

Experience a road cycling weekend in Yorkshire with Saddle Skedaddle (skedaddle.com).

Saddle Skedaddle's three-day road cycling weekend in Yorkshire begins in Malham Tarn, passing through Littondale and Wharfedale, before tackling the first of many climbs in the Dales, Fleet Moss. Riding through Wensleydale, climb up and over the moors to Ribblesdale before reaching the stunning Malham Cove.

The second day's riding starts in Settle and the Forest of Bowland, and features plenty of steep climbs into the wild Yorkshire moorland. The final ride of the trip is a climb out of the village of Langcliffe back to Malham Tarn.

Both days feature highlights of the parcours ridden by the professionals during the 2014 Tour de France Grand Départ in Yorkshire.
