Mundo Cuervo invites travelers to enjoy a full equine-inspired stay including:

  • Charrería Art Exhibition: Aimed to preserve the Mexican heritage and showcase the real face of Mexico through arts, the Juan Beckmann Gallardo Cultural Center was inaugurated last December 1st in el Pueblo Mágico de Tequila. Designed by Jorge Loyzaga, this center was inspired by an XVIII-century Baroque building in Mexico City opens with two exhibitions: “Charrería: A Story of Equine History in Mexico” a selection of pre and post-Hispanic including a vast collection of riding saddles, “Charro” suits and preserved carriages, as well as “Grand Masters” featuring a selection of 500 pieces of popular art from all over Mexico.
  • Riding in the Agave Fields: The equine-themed experience continues with a horseback ride through Jose Cuervo's agave fields, in the shadows of a now-dormant volcano. The volcanic soil is the reason the agaves can't grow anywhere else in the world, and what makes the town of Tequila so special. While holding the reins of their mounts, riders will partake in a live demonstration of how a seven-year-old agave plant is harvested and prepared for transport to the distillery, learning the trade of the tequila-harvesting jimadores. After their excursion, riders and enthusiasts of all things equine can continue their path of discovery by visiting one of the many local talaberterías, or saddle makers, where craftsmen hand-stitch the saddles made to measure in the old tradition, or visit the ranch of the "Dancing Horses" at the Cuadra la Esperanza in Tlajomulco, Jalisco.
