Rex's Response to Sydney Airport Plan

Regional Express - REX

Regional Express (Rex) welcomes the firm and unequivocal commitment to maintain the current access arrangements for regional airlines at Sydney Airport in the Preliminary Draft Master Plan released by Sydney Airport.

Rex also understands the need for better usage of the current international and domestic terminals by transforming each of them into integrated international, domestic and regional terminal precincts. However, for this plan to be acceptable to regional commuters it is critical for Sydney Airport to provide a convenient and improved high frequency transfer service between the two precincts.

Rex appreciates the cooperative approach that Sydney Airport has adopted over the last two years and looks forward to working with Sydney Airport on the implementation of the master plan.

Regional Express (Rex) is Australia's largest independent regional airline operating a fleet of more than 40 Saab 340 aircraft on some 1,300 weekly flights to 35 destinations throughout New South Wales, Victoria, Tasmania, South Australia and Queensland. The Rex Group comprises Regional Express, air freight and charter operator Pel-Air Aviation and Dubbobased regional airline Air Link, as well as the pilot academy Australian Airline Pilot Academy.
