Impact Destinations

Experiential luxury travel brand Impact Destinations enables the discerning traveller to act out on positive New Years Resolutions, make an impact and leave a legacy in 2019.
How?
By incorporating a unique experience that is unlocked by a philanthropic donation, where each experience makes a positive impact.
For example:
- in Italy, donate to a kitchen caring for the homeless and in return, enjoy a cooking masterclass with a Michelin starred chef
- in Chile, donate to puma conservation and track them in the wild
- in Indonesia, accompany an orangutan family rescued from deforestation of their natural habitat as they are released to a protected island
- in New Zealand, go sailing with an America's Cup winning sailor in return for a donation to his charity
- in Australia, fund an arts scholarship for a promising Aboriginal student and enjoy an exclusive session with an established artist from whom you can commission a work of art

All trips are 100% tailor-made, and focus on sustainable eco-luxury accommodation.

Trips can be any length, though the suggested itinerary for each region on www.impactdestinations.com are typically quite long, aimed at people with time on their hands. Prices for the suggested itineraries range from US$20,000 to US$120,000 per person.

Impact Destinations offers ten select locations, each with at least one exclusive philanthropic experience:

Australia  (fund an arts scholarship for a promising Aboriginal student and enjoy an exclusive session with an established artist from whom you can commission a work of art)

Canada and Alaska (fund salmon conservation and spend a day with a leading conservationist, learning from the expert)

Chile, Argentina and Antarctica (track pumas in the wild with expert trackers after donating to puma conservation)

Himalayas (track snow leopards in the wild with expert trackers after donating to snow leopard conservation)

Iceland and Arctic Circle  (track arctic foxes in the wild with expert trackers after donating to arctic fox conservation)

Indonesia (accompany an orangutan family rescued from deforestation of their natural habitat as they are released to a protected island)

Italy (donate to a kitchen caring for the homeless and in return, enjoy a cooking masterclass with a Michelin starred chef)

Mexico and Central America (learn from expert marine biologists and conserve hammerhead sharks or spinner dolphins in Costa Rica)

New Zealand (go sailing with an America's Cup winning sailor in return for a donation to his charity)

Southern Africa (whilst on safari in South Africa, witness a rhino relocation from a heavily poached reserve to a safe one in Botswana)

Impact Destinations is the latest brainchild of Christopher Hill, who also created - and still runs - the award winning Hands Up Holidays, Hands Up Incentives, and Hands Up School Trips.

From the Founder

"I started this fourth travel business because each concept is aimed at a different audience, and whilst there is overlap and similarities with Hands Up Holidays, Impact Destinations is for the luxury traveler who wants to have an extraordinary trip with incredible VIP experiences...the best of the best, AND who genuinely wants to leave a legacy and make an impact.

And rather than leaving this legacy by hands-on volunteering as with Hands Up Holidays, on an Impact Destinations trip it is the philanthropic donation that enables the experts to do what they need to do to conserve a species, feed the homeless in a dignfiying way, curtail teen suicide, or whatever the cause may be. And you the traveler get to witness it first-hand.

As we know this is the time of year when we make our New Year's Resolutions, which too often are not met, and these trips are the perfect opportunity for anyone to be true to themselves and actually make their resolutions to be a better person and make an impact a reality.
