Guests can discover the fabulous AA Rosette restaurant, The Curious Kitchen, offering a casual take on fine dining, that is taking cooking back to its roots, with homemade culinary masterpieces using traditional techniques.
Each Saturday afternoon one of the chefs showcases some of the skills used in the Curious Kitchen in a mini masterclass where guests can watch them create and share their expert advice. The restaurant also offers regular tasting evening events when the team focus on a specific culinary or drink theme.
The brainchild of executive head chef, Marc Payne, The Curious Kitchen is perfecting the homemade culinary methods including pickling, curing and smoking produce to create the best tasting dishes. From infused mayonnaise to cured or smoked meats and fish, these much-loved practices bring out the best of the local produce and allow diners to experience beautifully delicious food all prepared by a team of skilled chefs.
The stays are not all about the food, the AA four-star hotel, offers beautifully comfortable rooms with everything you could need for a great stay including a coffee machine, fresh milk, robes and slippers as well as a pillow menu to ensure you get a great night's sleep.
The gourmet break also includes use of the hotel's newly refurbished Spa. With three tranquil treatment rooms, a lounge, sauna, steam room, hot tub and stunning pool area, the spa is a haven of tranquillity. Guests can book in for a treatment using luxurious French skincare brand Caudalie, that combine the latest scientific cosmetic techniques with the ancient secrets from their family owned vineyards in Bordeaux. The vines and grapes within the vineyards possess exceptional powers for the skin.
Menus at The Curious Kitchen focus on food exploration, seasonality and local produce the key themes. Guests can enjoy homemade condiments, vegetables pickled in-house and meats smoked or cured in the kitchen and see how the food piques their curiosity.
A gourmet break includes overnight accommodation with breakfast and dinner and use of the Spa and is from £119 per person (based on two sharing).
