Refreshed Look and Feel Brings Abu Dhabi Event Happenings Closer

The Departure of Culture and Tourism - Abu Dhabi

Sydney, 2 September 2015: Abu Dhabi Tourism & Culture Authority (TCA Abu Dhabi) has unveiled a refreshed look and feel for its abudhabievents.ae online resource bringing a series of new features to the emirate's leading event listings site.

The eye-catching, colourful, fresh new look is designed to attract attention and generate increased public engagement to improve ease of access to discover what is happening across the emirate of Abu Dhabi.

“We have rolled out the refreshed look and feel to ensure the site continues to use innovative digital techniques to reflect the diversity of daily events happening across the entire Emirate of Abu Dhabi,” said Mouza Al Shamsi, Acting Executive Director Marketing & Communications, TCA Abu Dhabi.

The new AbuDhabiEvents branding look-and-feel is being released across the project's website, social media channels, flyers, advertisements and all its promotional materials.

“While the visibility of the website's content has been aesthetically improved to aid navigation, it's the new technological features beneath the surface which are designed to stimulate increased usage where the real improvements have been made, with enhancements for stakeholders to directly link to their social media feeds and upload their own events to ensure that the public can discover more about what's on, where and when,” added Al Shamsi.

An advanced search engine will increase public navigation and access to information through a more user-friendly website with multi-location and interactive mapping. Improved stakeholder functionality allows event organisers to link social media accounts to their uploaded events and gain access to more detailed records of interest and user reports.

Available in two languages – Arabic and English – the website and accompanying free-to-download App features constant updates on the full list of art, music, business, lifestyle, sport, education and family events taking place in the emirate.

TCA Abu Dhabi has identified expansion of its digital marketing initiatives as a priority for strategic investment to increase engagement, and this initiative follows steps taken earlier in the year to roll out a full mobile strategy featuring 'native' mobile applications of its VisitAbuDhabi.ae destination portal, and a groundbreaking regional digital marketing collaboration with Google.

AbuDhabiEvents.ae is the emirate's official calendar and one-stop online resource to discover the best of the emirate's happenings. Featuring many of Abu Dhabi's leading event delivery stakeholders and an array of community events and activities, the site details the latest on what's happening, when and where across the emirate.

Users can search by month or topic to quickly find events that suit their interest, and a handy tool triggers schedule alerts based on user preferences which can be shared via a personalised calendar with friends to make sure they don't miss out on the action.

Users can stay in touch with the latest events information on Abu Dhabi at www.abudhabievents.ae and download the AbuDhabiEvents App free of charge in Arabic at http://bit.ly/ade-mobile-ar  and in English from http://bit.ly/ade-mobile
