lThe Northern Territorys Red Centre is ablaze with colour this spring from thousands of wild flowers following higher than usual rainfall for the year.
Ayers Rock, Kings Canyon and Alice Springs Resorts are reporting a spectacular season with wild flowers emerging to cover the arid desert of the Red Centre with a dramatic carpet of colour.
Following the cooler months of winter, the flourish of wild flowers begins to appear in August through to November when the warmer spring temperatures of 25 - 35C bring life to over 50 varieties of bloom. To learn more about the wild flower season, visit our website at www.voyages.com.au.
The abundant flora and temperate climes make it an excellent time to visit the extraordinary formations of Uluru (Ayers Rock), Kata Tjuta (the Olgas) and Kings Canyon and now it is even easier, with Qantas announcing a second daily service from Sydney to Ayers Rock and additional services to Alice Springs.
