Re-Live the Golden Years on 'Rat Pack Era' Murray Princess Music Cruise

Captain Cook Cruises

Kick up your heels and re-visit the golden years of the 50's and 60's party era with Adelaide entertainer and internationally acclaimed vocalist Bill Parton and his all-star band as they perform the 'Rat Pack Era' show on the fabulous Murray Princess special event music cruise departing Friday 19 July 2019.

Performing over three spectacular nights, reminisce the good old days as Bill, an award-winning vocalist, performer, pianist and entertainer, effortlessly combines jazz, swing, adult contemporary and easy listening genres from the 50's to the 90's with modern show business to create unforgettable performances.

After a welcome three-course dinner be entertained to the sounds of Bill on piano playing the much-loved classics from The Beatles, Coldplay, Lionel Ritchie, Ben Folds, The Whitlams, Elton John, Billy Joel and more!

On Saturday night wind back the clock and dust off the dancing shoes as Bill and his band perform a 'Rat Pack Era' show. A tribute to jazz, swing, a splash of Christmas and the classic songs of the great American song book era, this show is not to be missed.

On the final night join the Captain and his officers for the Captain's Dinner in the Sturt Dining Room while Bill performs a mix of smooth 'feel good' jazz, warm 'easy listening' adult contemporary tunes and a classic party repertoire from Frank Sinatra to Coldplay to Stevie Wonder.

By day discover the historic towns, food and wine and flora and fauna of the picturesque Murray River between Walker Flat and Murray Bridge.

Visit Murray Bridge and explore the quaint township and take a tour of the historic Round House. Wildlife lovers can opt to spend the morning visiting the much-loved Monarto Zoo. See many of the Zoo's inhabitants including Giraffe, Eland, Zebra, White Rhinoceros, Cheetah, Lions, Hyena and Wild Dogs on a private Monarto Zoo Wildlife Tour (additional costs apply).

Sample the delights of the Murray and Riverland regions with a structured tasting of delicious local produce and wines in the Sturt Dining Room.

At Salt Bush Flat learn about the thriving ecology of the river and its flora and fauna on a guided nature walk. Then at River View Lodge get up close to the river, its 20-million-year-old cliffs and amazing birdlife on the 'Dragon-Fly' Flat Bottomed Boat vessel.

Onboard, join the Captain for a general inspection of the wheelhouse, play some bocce on the riverbank or fish off the side of the boat.

Relax in comfort and watch the paddlewheel turn while admiring the rivers natural beauty including the magnificent towering limestone cliffs and ever changing-scenery in the paddlewheel lounge .

Be treated to a fine selection of food and wine in the ship's elegant dining room and bar. Start each morning with a hearty hot buffet breakfast, indulge in a two-course or buffet lunch each day and be spoilt with a delicious three-course meal or buffet dinner each evening.
