This Ramadan, StraitsKitchen will enchant diners with some of the finest Iftar offerings relished by Egyptian royalty dating back to the Pharaonic periods. Featuring a regal spread of cold and hot mezze selection, a shawarma station complemented by tender grilled meat and fresh seafood from the charcoal grill, and decadent sweets, explore the exotic and varied flavours from the Middle East. 

At the helm of these robust creations are our guest chefs from Hyatt Regency Sharm El Sheikh, Egypt. Chef de Partie, Abo Zied Mohamed Masoud El Shazly and Commis de Cuisine, Mahmoud Hamed Abdalla Mahmoud will showcase dishes of noble origins such as Bessara, Labna, Lamb with Okra and Beef Kamoniah. Other highlights include - Babaganoush, Vermicelli Soup, Mahashi, Prawns Taouk, and Beef Kofta with Egyptian Spices.

 

Sous Chef Pastry, Khaled Ahmed El Sayed Helal will also be preparing an exquisite array of traditional desserts such as Candied Pistachio and Ladida, once enjoyed by the early royals. Other popular Middle Eastern desserts such as Besbaousa, Mushabbek and Golash will also be available.

 

From 8 July to 8 August 2013, StraitsKitchen will offer the Iftar buffet from 6:30 pm to 10:30 pm daily. Priced at SGD68++ (adult) and SGD38++ (child), the Ramadan dinner buffet includes free-flowing selected juices, tea tarik and coffee tarik. For the convenience of our Muslim guests, the hotel offers prayer rooms for diners to perform the Maghrib prayers,
