Ramada Jarvis, the UK hotel operator and largest UK franchisee of the Ramada brand, has appointed Linda Watson as Regional Director for Scotland.

Originally from Ayr, Linda entered the hotel industry with the Stakis Group in 1984 where she quickly progressed through the ranks becoming an integral part of the management team for their Country Court brand of hotels, which included the opening of eight new properties in the Midlands and South.

In 1996, Linda returned to her Scottish roots by taking the position as General Manager for Ramada Ayr. In 2002, Linda�s hard work was rewarded when she won the coveted General Manager Of The Year across the hotel group. Linda then moved on to run the Ramada Mount Royal Hotel in Edinburgh � the chain�s Scottish flagship hotel � where she added significant profitability to the hotel.

In her new role as Regional Director for Scotland, Linda will be responsible for the seven Scottish Ramada Jarvis properties. Commenting on her new role, Linda says: �I am delighted to have taken on this new role. I hope to combine my years of management experience with my regional knowledge to guide Ramada Jarvis Scottish Hotels in what will be a challenging time for the hospitality industry.�

Linda is married and lives on the Ayrshire coast with her husband and daughter. A keen traveler she loves to explore new countries, and spend her free time with family and friends.
