Visit Las Cruces

The video received a Silver Telly award, the Telly's highest honor, in the category of "Online Music Video", and a Bronze award for "Videography/Cinematography".

"With over 13,000 entries from across the country and around the world, we are truly honored to have received this recognition," said Visit Las Cruces Executive Director Phil San Filippo.  "Everyone involved worked extremely hard to create a video that the entire community could be proud of and would help us promote Las Cruces as a great place to visit."

The Telly Awards honor the very best film and video productions, groundbreaking online video content, and outstanding local, regional and cable TV commercials and productions.

The creative team consisted of Director Adrian Guzman, Producer Karla Walton, and Production Assistants Jennifer Martinez and Elizabeth Vega. The music video promoted tourism and Las Cruces pride.

"I couldn't think of a more deserving group of people to receive the Telly award for the "Las Cruces" video," said Bagwell.  "The directing, filming, and overall process was top notch; not to mention, they were all an absolute joy to work with!  I am so happy to see their passion, creativity, and hard work all being recognized in the form of such a prestigious award.

The Telly's receive entries from production agencies small and large including, CNN, Discovery, Disney, ESPN, Coca-Cola and Warner Brothers to name a few.

A prestigious judging panel of more than 500 accomplished industry professionals, each a past winner of a Silver Telly and a member of The Silver Telly Council, judged the competition, upholding the historical standard of excellence that Telly represents. The Silver Council evaluated entries to recognize distinction in creative work - entries do not compete against each other - rather entries are judged against a high standard of merit. Less than 10% of entries are chosen as Winners of the Silver Telly, The Telly's highest honor. Approximately 25% of entries are chosen as Winners of the Bronze Telly.
