Quito Tourism Board to Participate in “All you Need is Ecuador” Roadshow in U.S and Canada Markets.

New York, NY, April 29th Quito, the first city to be named a UNESCO World Heritage site, will be presenting its cultural, artistic, adventure, gastronomical and new tourism infrastructure news to leading members of the travel trade industry and media when it participates in the Ecuador Ministry of Tourism's US and Canadian Roadshow, “All You Need is Ecuador,” from May 4 to 15, 2015.

The city of Quito has proactively been promoting its historic and modern tourism infrastructure in the US and Canadian markets with advertising, co-ops, press trips and industry trainings since 2011 and has since generated great interest from visitors with an increase of 8.5% in arrivals from 2013 to 2014  and industry leaders. In 2013, Quito was named a “Must See” city by National Geographic Traveler named the city a “Must See” and Travel + Leisure “Best Destination.” both in 2013 and winning the “South American Leading Destination” at World Travel Awards two years in a row and nominated again this year.

This month, Quito was the host city of the Ecotourism and Sustainable Tourism Conference with Over 600 sustainable tourism experts meeting in the city from the 27 to 30th.  It also hosted the first edition of the Runway by Modalab where leading Latin-American designers and fashion houses showcased their work. Both events furthered positioned Quito a leading meetings and conventions destination.

The roadshow is designed to showcase the diversity in tourism offerings Ecuador has to offer its international visitors, from the historic city of Quito to the popular Galapagos Islands, The Andes, Costal Zones and Amazon. Quito's incoming operators and industry leaders will generate strategic alliances with US and Canadian tour operators, travel agents and media.
