Quality and value are keywords for skiers this winter, according to the UK’s leading ski chalet company, Ski Beat (www.skibeat.co.uk).
Ski Beat’s Laura Hazel said “Skiing has always been considered an expensive pastime. Of course there are lots of ways of cutting corners, but we find it’s not the cheapest holidays that sell first. In our experience skiers want decent quality accommodation, great skiing, good value and good service and are prepared to pay for it”.
In line with market trends all 49 Ski Beat chalets in six snow sure French ski resorts have been upgraded in the past two years to offer guests complimentary L’Occitane toiletries, cooked breakfasts, a four course farewell meal with local cheeses and port, welcome aperitifs and canapés and home baked afternoon tea each day. New for 2013 are individually crafted quality Ruark Audio Systems in each chalet, games from Drumond Park Games and twice weekly freshly baked croissants and pain au chocolat are served.
Childcare, crèche and nanny services are available to guests in all Ski Beat chalets in La Plagne, Les Arcs and La Rosiere, staffed by experienced British nannies and open from 08.45 – 17.00, six days / week. For children in ski school an afternoon care services is available from the end of ski school until 17.00, from Sunday to Friday, for kids aged 4 – 7 years (up to 9 years in La Rosiere). For groups booking an entire chalet, Ski Beat will provide private nannies to offer 6 days childcare, including lunch.
Ski Beat has planned its flying programme is planned to ensure flights are first thing in the morning to convenient arrival airports to avoid traffic during the transfer. Ski Beat flies from Manchester and Gatwick to Lyon on Saturdays.
New for 2013/14 is Chalet Marielle, a recently converted Savoyard barn in Meribel. Full of character and renovated to retain the traditional stone and wood of the original structure, the spacious chalet offers accommodation on three floors for up to 15 guests. It has a shared open plan living and dining area with a beautiful and original vaulted ceiling and a large open fire. A second lounge with balcony can be found on the top floor providing a peaceful retreat with spectacular views of Mont Vallon and Saulire across the valley.
Ski Beat has focused on providing catered ski chalet holidays in France for couples and groups of friends and families for twenty seven years, with the emphasis on value, great service and exceptional childcare.
Laura Hazel added “This year more than ever we are giving our skiers the highest possible levels of service and comfort, while at the same time keeping an eye on affordability with generous discounts for groups, repeat clients and some early season offers”.
A week’s skiing with Ski Beat this winter costs from £489 per person, based on 2 people sharing at Chalet Laponia in the French resort of Plagne 1800, a traditionally styled chalet with gingerbread house charm and a magical feel to it.
