QT Port Douglas is celebrating this week following two well deserved wins at the Tourism Tropical North Queensland (TTNQ) Awards on Friday, November 21st. The TTNQ Awards aim to recognize and award individuals, businesses and operators who have made outstanding contributions to the tourism industry in Tropical North Queensland.

QT Port Douglas' Bazaar Interactive Marketplace restaurant was the only finalist located outside of the Cairns region in the 'Tourism Restaurant and Catering Services' category, beating out seven other finalists to rapturous applause from the audience. Inspired by international street stalls, souks and bodegas, Bazaar recreates the traditional marketplace with a twenty-first century twist. At Bazaar, your plate is your passport and there are no rules on which destinations to explore. At the 2013 TTNQ Awards, Bazaar was granted a 'Judges Commendation' in the same category.

QT Port Douglas resort was again a finalist in the 'Deluxe Accommodation' category, this time competing against only one other accommodation provider, Fitzroy Island Resort. Whilst Fitzroy Island Resort took out the top honor, QT Port Douglas was awarded with a 'Judges Commendation' in the same category.
