Qantas Group Chief Executive Officer Alan Joyce together with President of Boeing Australia and South Pacific, Maureen Dougherty will welcome home Qantas' first retro aircraft proudly carrying the 1971-1984 livery and bearing the name of trailblazing former CEO James Strong with special tribute decal.
Qantas will celebrate the arrival with an exclusive performance by Martha Marlow, the new voice of Qantas' 'Feels Like Home' campaign.
Special Guest and aviation enthusiast Mr John Martin, who travelled on the inaugural flight of Qantas' first Boeing 747 in 1971 showcasing the original livery, will also join the celebrations after taking part in the 2014 delivery flight.

TIME: 11.30am (meet at Qantas' shuttle bus area to get a bus to the hangar)
12.30pm (event starts)
VENUE: Hangar 416, Sydney Jetbase, Sydney Airport
Access to the hangar is via a shuttle bus from Qantas head offices, 10 Bourke St, Mascot (bus stop is located near reception and Toby's Estate café)

Please note:
• You can only get to the hangar via shuttle bus from Qantas' head offices in Mascot – do not go to the airport.
• All visitors will be required to produce photo identification (driver licence or passport) to access the hangar and a bag check will be conducted.
• All visitors will also be required to do a short OH&S brief prior to entry.
• Fully enclosed shoes (no heels) must be worn while in the hangar.
