March Cheeses of the Month

Spring is here and with it brings a selection of creamy and indulgent cheeses for Classified's Cheeses of the Month. The Chabichou (HK$160/pc) is a wonderfully soft and creamy goat's milk cheese that's satisfyingly mellow. The Coulommiers (HK$280/pc) is reminiscent of brie, with a fruity and rustic flavour and creamy texture. Finally, the wonderful Tomme du Père Elie (HK$108/100g) is the perfect balance of woody and milky, making it a stronger flavour that pairs well with plum jam. No cheese feast is complete without a wine pairing, and the La Vieille Ferme Rouge 2016 (HK$260/bottle, HK$52/glass) is the perfect choice. This bright and fresh red wine boasts a spicy aromas and a rich mix of red and black fruits structured with silky tannins that pairs well with these creamy cheeses.

Available at all Classified outlets from Fri, 2nd March to Sat, 31st March.

Monthly Cheese Dish

If the Coulommiers alone isn't enough, try the monthly cheese dish of breaded Coulommiers with cranberry sauce and mixed leaves (HK$88). The cheese is breaded and deep fried until it's golden and crispy and served with house made cranberry jelly and mixed leaves. Indulge in this oozy, cheesy treat.


Classified Menu Refresh

Classified has got you covered for breakfast, lunch, dinner and everything in between. The new all-day menu features a whopping 27 new dishes to choose from and highlights include the spicy Vietnamese inspired Golden Pig pork knuckle Bánh mì sandwich (HK$115), the Cantonese inspired Coconut sago pudding with mangoes (HK$55) and back by popular demand, the Classified Lasagna (HK$140) of layered beef and pork ragout with Béchamel sauce is not to be missed. Available from From Tues, 13th of March at all Classified outlets.

Start your day right at Classified with new breakfast offerings including crispy and spicy U.S Fried chicken and biscuits (HK$90) served with a side of sweet syrup. Vegetarians will love the Cyprus halloumi burger with sun-dried tomato pesto (HK$90), made using seared handmade halloumi stuffed in a seeded bun and the hearty Beetroot & potato hash (HK$90) topped with fried eggs. Available from Friday, 16th of March at all Classified outlets.

Last but not least, there's a whole host of new brunch options to sink your teeth into. Top picks include U.K Gammon ham & pineapple pizzette (HK$78) that's perfect for sharing. Those looking for a healthier option should try the Green papaya salad (HK$82) with delicately julienned mango, carrot, radish, cucumber and cilantro and a spicy chilli dressing. Sweet tooth diners should try the American style pancakes with Greek yoghurt (HK$70) with apples and raisins and drenched in syrup. Available from Sat, 17th of March at all Classified outlets.

New seasonal dishes

This month, The Pawn presents refreshed seasonal British dishes available on the lunch and dinner a la carte menu. Starters include a rustic roasted carrot heritage salad, with frisée and ham hock (HK$148) and pickled mackerel with apple and celeriac slaw, mâche and hazelnuts (HK$178). Hearty new mains include the British charter puff pastry pie filled with braised chicken and oyster mushrooms (HK$198/$298) and the meaty and mighty 1kg dry-aged Tomahawk steak (HK$1,180), both perfect for sharing.

Dessert lovers won't want to miss Mrs Beeton's snow eggs with honeycomb and blackcurrant (HK$85), a heritage dish that fits perfectly in The Pawn, given its location in a historical building.

Restaurant Week

Classified Group will once again participate in the Hong Kong's Restaurant Week from Thurs, 8th to Sun, 18th March. Between 12-2.30pm, diners at The Pawn's 2/F Kitchen can treat themselves to a three course lunch for an affordable $198. Choices include starters of cauliflower soup or Norwegian salmon caesar salad, followed by a choice of mains including braised oxtail with mashed potato and roasted vegetables finished with your choice of desserts such as chocolate brownie with green tea ice-cream.

For dinner, visit between 6.30pm-10pm for a $398 three course dinner. Start with the likes of house ricotta with heritage tomatoes, dried English herbs and red pepper relish followed by mouthwatering mains like steamed mussels with malt beer, shallots, bacon and English mustard and big chips and finish with the delectable Eton Mess with whipped cream, meringue and mixed berries. Both lunch and dinner includes bread and butter with coffee or tea.

All nine Classified outlets will be offering a 4 course & selected wine at $298 from 6pm until close. The four course menu comes with a choice of starters, followed by spaghetti with truffle butter. Mains include meat or fish options, along with the veggie-friendly option of pan-fried halloumi with roasted bell peppers and sun-dried tomato pesto. Make sure you leave room as the dinner is rounded off with a choice of Artisan cheeses with homemade sesame crackers. Wash it all down with either Badet Clément Merlot Pays d'Oc Séduction or Badet Clément Sauvignon Blanc Pays d'Oc Séduction for a relaxed evening at Classified.
